The House

Most stays in the Peloponnese put you near the sights. Lake House puts you inside them — a stand-alone family home on the edge of Gialova, with the lagoon's flamingos on one side and the cliffs of Navarino Bay on the other.

Clean, uncluttered, and properly equipped: a fully-fitted kitchen, comfortable beds, fast Wi-Fi, and two bathrooms (one newly renovated). Outside, a shaded terrace and garden of olive trees look out over the water — the kind of view previous guests have called the best reason to be lazy.

Run by a local family who live minutes away, so questions get answered and nothing is left to guesswork.

What's Included

Everything a house needs. Nothing it doesn't.

Five things previous guests point to most — the rest is just a well-kept, comfortable home.

Full Kitchen

Oven, hob, Nespresso and filter coffee — cook a proper meal in, or walk five minutes to a taverna.

Three Quiet Bedrooms

A king room, a twin room, and a single — each with air conditioning and proper curtains for sleeping in.

Two Bathrooms

One newly renovated with a rain shower — mornings for four people never turn into a queue.

Terrace & Olive Garden

Shaded pergola dining, a sun terrace, and olive trees between you and the lagoon — where guests say they never wanted to leave.

Fast Wi-Fi & TV

For the evenings you want it. For the afternoons you'd rather watch flamingos instead, it's easy to switch off.

5 Minutes From Everything

Beach, lagoon, restaurants, supermarket and bike hire — all a short drive from a quiet residential road.

The Area

Gialova puts Messinia's best within reach.

Everything you drove down for — the beach, the ruins, the reason you picked a house with a view — is close enough that you'll stop checking the map.

From Past Guests

What it's actually like to stay here.

We booked this wonderful house for a month in October. It was the perfect holiday house for us — very clean and uncluttered, everything worked exactly as it should. If, like us, you prefer to be lazy, you can sit and look at the flamingos on the lake with the sea behind it.

Elaine

A lovely private stand-alone dwelling within a 5 minute drive of all amenities — beach, lake, golf, restaurants, coffee house, supermarket, bicycle hire. Highly recommend for a tranquil stay with amazing views.

Lynne

Bathroom is renovated so no worries there, and the outdoor shower was quite lovely. Place was clean, laundry worked well, and hosts were super friendly and helpful.

Geoff

Great location for visiting the beautiful Pylos region — the beautiful beach of Voidokilia is very close. His dad's welcome was a real pleasure. We recommend it, plus plus plus.
